My flight from Kuala Lumpur to XA arrives at the International Airport at 11.15pm (23.15). I need to take transportation to Grand Soluxe International Hotel located at 177 Jiefang Road. I understand there is a Rialway Station nearby.What mode of transport should be recommended for me. Taxi or Express Bus Shuttle? How much would it cost to reach the hotel from the airport. What to look out be be cautious about? Is it safe to travel that late at night?. Please advise. Response will be fully appreciated. ThanksL CHAI. Malaysia

If taking a taxi, the fare at that time would be around  CNY150. This is a flat rate. No taxi driver would charge by meter. You can also take airport shuttle bus to go. The last bus of Railway Station line leaves at 00:00, so you need to hurry up to catch that. Get off at XA Railway Station (in front of Longhai Hotel). Then walk north for around 400m to find your hotel. BTW, the shuttle bus costs CNY26 per person.

Does the bus actually make a schedule stop at the Railway Station (XA Railway Station-your reference)?If I were to take a taxi. Which type is recommended? Can I buy coupon at the Airport to take the Taxi? Is haggling a norm? Is it safe to go for taxi pooling?I will great;y appreciate your response. Others are welcome too.

Yes, in most cases, the bus is scheduled to stop at the railway station, but sometimes, due to the traffic jam, it may delay for a while.You are suggested to take the taxis in black, which are the taxis from airport to downtown area especially. You don’t need to buy the coupon in the airport, just go to the taxis stands waiting in line for the taxis.Most taxis from airport to downtown do not charge by meter. But you can bargain.It is safe to do a carpooling, just be alert.
