About:Visa Policy of China

Is it compulsory for Sri Lankans to travel in groups to obtain visa to China? Can't I travel alone?

I am planning on travelling to Hong Kong and wish to travel to Shenzhen and Guangzhou from there. As a Sri Lankan can I apply for Chinese L type as an individual? And what is the validity period of the L type? Thank you.

Indika, you can apply for individual L type for mainland. However, you need to provide the following documents:
1. A letter from the Chinese travel agency or other travel organizer.
3、“Invitation Letter for Tourist” from Chinese Tourist Bureau. I think it's difficult for you to acquire this unless a tour agency offers help to you
2、Travel itinerary
4、Less than three pages of the copy of Financial support document or copy latest month personal bank statement(please bring the latest 3 months original one)

Usually, a single entry one is valid for 3 months with a duration of 30 days.
