Why do some Asian people have same first and last name? Example Pae Pae.

Tara, I guess that the pronunciation may be the same. But they may be two different words. In China, some parents prefer to give nicknames to their children by repeating their kids' first names. For example, if a kid's first name is Long, their parents may call him Long Long. Do you see it?2

Thanks for the answer I work for the public and we see a lot of names like this and we have always wondered why on there American drivers license and other legal documents there names repeat3
