Multi entry Visa not released

Hello
I have been trying to obtain a 12 months multi entry one for an entire year. I have been always granted a six months, two entries from the consulate in London. Despite my passport being filled with multi entry permits (obtained in Hong Kong when it was possible to do it), despite the business invitation letters, despite the iitinerary and provided and so on.
Passport is Italian and I am resident in the United Kingdom.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your help
Pino

Pino, it's a pity! I think perhaps the consular officer just thought you are not a British passport holder. May be if you apply from your home country, the chance for getting the one-year multiple-entry type will become bigger. Anyway, the officer has the final say and he decides whether to grant you the entry permit without having to give you a reason.

Thank you very much Nina for your reply.
I have been applying in the UK because I am resident in London. There must be something in my records that do not satisfy the consular officer. Maybe one day I will understand it.
Yes, of course they have not give me any reason. Yes or no, this is crystal and clear.
