Are there fabric, lace and embroidery shops in Suzhou?

Are there street markets or local shopping areas? What are the typical hours?

Hi, I recommend the Xiaonanmen Small Commidities Wholesale Market to you. You can find many stores or shops there selling what you want. It is located at South Renmin Road, Canglang District.

To find high quality fabric and other items, you can also go to the Eastern Silk Market China in Wujiang City, which is around 31mi from SZ city. But I am sorry that I have no idea of the operating hours of the two markets.

I know there is a South Bund Textile & Fabric Market in Shanghai, which is located at no. 399, Lujiabang Road, Huangpu District (close to Nancang Street). You may find many fabrics of different qualities there.

Suzhou is more for silk. It is a short distance, by fast train, from Shanghai.
