I am an American. I am visiting Beijing , then Yunnan .

I was told by Delta Airlines that I could obtain a Visa on arrival because I am flying in and departing in 15 days. I am a US citizen with 10 years valid new passport, it will be my first trip to China. Andy , Seattle

Andy, I must tell you that your airline may have made a mistake, because I don't think you meet the VOA requirements. You should apply for a tourist L type in advance with the following documents: your passport, a photocopy of the passport, a filled application affixed with your recent photo, and round-trip tickets and hotel bookings.
