About:Visa Policy of China

Can I exit the departure terminal for a transit flight(6 hours)? How? Do I need a visa?

I arrive in Shanghai Pudong at 3.30pm
My flight to Singapore is at 11.40pm (same day)

Thomas, are you a Singaporean passport holder? If yes, you don't need to worry about the transit entry permit issue, because mainland China gives a 15-day freen entry for Singaporean passport holders who come to China for leisure, business, and transit purposes.
