Well, she needs to apply for a single entry L type. Documents needed to submit to the embassy include her passport, a photocopy of the passport's data page, a fully filled application form attached with her recently taken color bare-headed photo, and an invitation letter from your parents family.

Thanks for replying. Will she also need to provide a copy of her flight itinerary? And when you say invitation letter, would that mean a copy of my family members China ID is needed too along with the invitation letter?

Kev, if she can provide the invitation letter, the flight itinerary copy is not required. The copy of your relative's ID card is not necessary to submit, but in the invitation letter, your relative can inculde the ID card number in his personal information.
