About:China Visa Exemption

Flying from London, UK to Beijing to join cruise in April

I hold EU passport but also have Hong Kong Idenity Card and Hong Kong/Macau entry permit (港澳居民來往內地通行証),I am flying to Beijing in April from London to join Princess cruise. Do I need to apply for China visa?

Chung, as you are holding the Mainland Travel Document for Hong Kong/Macau Residents, you don't need to apply for the entry permit.

Been told differently. If the departing point is Hong Kong then I don't need visa. Since I flying to Beijing from London, then I need to apply. How inconvenient. Thanks for your reply Lucy.
