my husband is from hk and has working permit in china

Shall I apply for an s1 visa if I want to stay with him in China? He's given a job position for at least two yestart, so, can I stay there during all the time he's staying or there is any limitations for me? Also, do I need to apply in my own country (I'm from Europe ) or can I apply in hk where I will stay for few weeks before we intend to enter China? Thank you!

Ana, I think you should apply in your country, to be precise, CVASC branch in Madrid. And you need to apply for the temporary resident permit within 30 days after you arrive in mainland China. Its duration is decided by the local entry and exit management bureau based on your husband's resident permit.
