Xia Dynasty

I just wanted to ask something to make sure is that on my social studies class my teacher taught me that the Xia dynasty was a legend and still today archealogists don't have a proof/evidence that the stories about Yu the Great existed. I just waned to know if the Xia dynasty existed or not. Thanks for listening; hope you reply soon thanks!
