About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am currently in China on an M visa single entry, can I use the 72 hour free transit?

I would like to visit Hong Kong at the end of my trip and come back for less than 72 hours to Guangzhou, is this possible?

Paddy, do you mean to fly from Guangzhou to somewhere else? If the destination is not part of mainland China, you can make use of the free transit policy.
