About:China Family Reunion Visa

Best Visa for moving out to China to join spouse and work

Hi, my wife is a Chinese national and has recently been refused a UK visa and had to return home to China. I'm in the process of applying to move out there and join her and was planning to make it a permanent move so would need to be able to work once there. I'm very confused about which type of visa is most suitable? I was advised to get a Q1 type but now I read you can't work on that one? So what that's just for tourism and lazing about?

Essentially I just want as long an entry to the country as possible with the possibility to legally work once there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Daniel, if you want to work in China, you can only apply for the Z type. First hunt for a job in China. Then ask your employer to provide you with a work permit issued by the Human Recource and Social Security Department. Last apply for the Z type with your passport, photo, application form, work permit, etc. at the CVASC office in Britain.
