About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

is visa needed to go to lantau island (ngong ping, etc)?

I will be staying at Panda hotel next month, and friend told me that China entry permit is needed if I want to go to lantau island. Is this true? I know for Philippines passport holders, a 14day HK free entry is given. I plan to stay only for 3 days.

I'm not sure whether what your friend say is correct. You can confirm it with the HK Immigration Department after you arrive at Hong Kong.
