About:China Transit Visa

Hi, I am a Canadian citizen travelling in Bangkok, flying to Singapore with a cruise to China.

I am currently in Bangkok but leaving in a couple days to go to Singapore. (not enough time in Bangkok to obtain a visa for China.
I am looking at a cruise that departs from Singapore and arrives in Shanghai and then visiting Shanghai until departing for the United Kingdom two weeks later.
1: Can canadian citizens obtain while in Singapore and 2: It is true that I only need a single entry because our first stop is in Hong Kong with 2 more consecutive stops in China before arriving in Shanghai

Thank you

Kelly, there is no guarantee that you will apply successfully in Singapore. According to CVASC, the non-citizens of Singapore should provide documents that entitle them to reside for an extended period of time in Singapore (PR, WP, EP, STP, DP or SVP). Temporary visitors are suggested to apply in their own country.

Can you specify how many entries your cruise stop in mainland China? Generally speaking, an entry permit is required for each stop. For example, if your cruise stops in Shanghai and Tianjin, you should apply for a double-entry G or L type.
