hey guys, please suggest me with some usefull answers

I am arjun from india,
I lost my passport with student visa valid till march 31st of 2015, so I applied for a new passport from shanghai, my new passport came today, the thing is that somebody sent my lost passport to my school after I got new passport, now how can I do with my visa? is it possible to transfer my old one to new passport ? or I have to apply for new one ?
