About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Visa application for a danish man who live in norway

Hi i am from Denmark with passport from denmark and want to go to china as a tourist round the contry 4 weeks, what type do i need and can i apply from Bangkok to becuse i stay there 2 weeks before i go and what paper do I need?

Jackie, you should apply for a L type. In my opinion, I think you should apply from the Chinese embassy in Norway because you live there and you must have valid resident permit. It requires your passport, application form, a recent passport photo, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking and your resident permit in Norway (both original and copy versions).

Okay i understand that but i also see in china embasy site here in norway if i stay no long than 15 days in china then i don't need to apply for entry permit, is that right

Hi Jackie! Only if you are in group tour to Hainan Province for a stay of no more than 15 days organized by the international travel services approved by the National Tourism Administration of China and registered in Hainan Province, you don't need to apply for the entry permit. Otherwise, you have to apply for it. You can do it in the embassy in Bangkok.

Okay thanks so i only need around ticket bangkok to shanghai and back and paper on hotel booking to apply visa from bangkok

If you want to apply from Bangkok, in addition to your passport, application form, recent passport photo, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking, you should also provide the original and photocopy of the entry permit for Thailand.
