Do i need a visa as a crew member to join ship in China?

Natalie, you inten to take a cruise ship from China, right? If you stay less than 7 days, I think you can just apply for a G type with your onward cruise ship ticket. If you plan to visit some places, then you'd better apply for a L type in advance. It requires your passport, application form, a recent six months passport photo, return air ticket or onward cruise ticket that proves you will leave China and hotel booking.
