International Zip code

Hello I want to ask if I'm ordering from a website to be shipped internationally, and the site does offer international shipment, what would I have to put for the zip code? I live in HsinChu the postal is 300 but for good reasons it doesn't work. Do I have to include the area code or the full 5 digit?
