irish national applying for a chinese visa from ulan bator

Hello.I am an irish national coming to china via russia and mongolia. I plan to apply for my Chinese entry permit when I get to ulan bator. Could you tell me if this is possible?Gez

Gerard, you can apply. However, you are required to provide the invitation letter from Chinese individual or foreigners who have long-term resident permits in China.  And round-trip air tickets and hotel booking are required.
