Shantou, Swelek. If anyone knows of this place or the correct spelling please let me know?

I was in Shantou in 2001 and I remember we took a couch to a small town called Swelek. I cannot find this place in goggle map. I am not sure if the spelling is correct or the place is so small to show in google map. Thank you
