About:China Student Visa

what is x type study permit? if it lasts up to 6 months, will i need to renew?

i want to study in china. i want to know what is the maximum length of 1 study permit?

It depends on how long you study in China. If you study longer than 180 days, you should apply for a X1 type. It is valid for 30 days after you arrive. You need to change it into a temporary resident permit within 30 days after you arrive. If you study less than 180 days, you just need to apply for a X2 type. It is usually a single-entry one.

As I said, it depends on which type you are granted with. If it is a single X2 type, then you need to extend it at local entry and exit management bureau. If it is a X1 type, then you just need to change it into a temporary resident permit within 30 days when you arrive.

but i have to stay longer than 180 days....will i need to renew my study permit after each 180 days??
