How do I go to Daxu Ancient Town from GL Deptment Store (S.Zhongshan Road) by bus? What are the other options for me ( and wife) to get there.

You mean the department store near the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Wenming Road?If so, you can walk along Zhongshan Road to the north for about 1000 yards to reach Jiefang Road. And then turn to east to East Jiefang Road for about 50 yards, you‘ll see ShiziJie bus stop. Take bus no. 9 there and get off at Shijiadu Bridge. And then take a taxi to reach the town. It would cost around CNY20.
