About:China High Speed Train

Are there G/Bullet trains from Guangzhou to Chaoshan?

What is the time taken for the trip? Can anyone go and come same day by that?

There are G as well as D types available from Guangzhou to Chaoshan. The earliest one D7015 departs at 12:20 from Guangzhou Esat ( it is the D types, if you you take the G types, you need to go from Guangzhou South station.) and will arrive Chaoshan at 16:00pm. You can return on the same day but the time you stay in Chaoshan will be limited. The last one available for the return trip is G6331 (20:45/23:32) from Chaoshan to Guangzhou south station.

There is no rail from Guangzhou to Shaoshan, G6142 and G6144 are the only trains between Guangzhou and Shaoshan.

There is only one between Guangzhou and Shaoguan each day. The one for Guangzhou South to Shaoshan South is G6142, 09:01am/12:15pm. The return one is G6144, 19:48/23:03. If you go and come back on the same day, you will have about 7 hours in Shaoguan.
