Hello...I was wondering what the exact dates are for the start of the celebrations  for the Chinese New Year in GZ.  We have a package to send out to our son at his school he teaches at.  It will be going via Canada Post, then transferring to what ever the delivery service is in GZ.  Will any of these schools, or facilities such as delivering parcels be open during that time, and send them out for delivery?  Thanks kindly....Pat From Canada.  Or, should we hold off, until the the New Year Celebrations are over.

The Chinese New Year is in the day of Feb. 19. And people will celebrate from Feb. 18 even before. I heard that most of the express companies will stop delivering around Feb. 10. A few will still do business during the CNY, but their speed would slow down much. So you’re suggested to send it now, maybe he can get it before the CNY. Or just hold off until the celebrations over.
