About:China Tourist Visa

Certification letter from the working unit?/bank statements

To apply for a Tourist Visa for China, is the Certification letter from the working unit/6 month bank statements necessary? I'm confused with it saying "case to case basis". Should I bring it or not if I'm just visiting?

Hi Chris, you needn't to bring it. "Case to case basis" means that the requirements vary in accordance with the passport you are holding, the location you submit the application, as well as the applicant's citizenship. In your case, you just need to bring your passport, the photocopy of your passport, a filled application form with a recently taken bareheaded photo stuck on it, and round-trip tickets and hotel booking records.
