Max, the sismograph invented by Zhang Heng is very simple. It can just tell the direction of the earthquake but can't tell how strong the earthquake is. There is a wood stick inside, which looks like a upside down beer bottle. When it feels earthquake wave, then it falls down and triggers the leverage inside. Then a ball comes out of the dragon's mouth, which indicates the direction of the earthquake.
