Hedgehog - Pet Travel

Does anyone know anything about taking a hedgehog to China? I have a pet hedgehog who I want to take for a year. I will be flying from the US into Yantai.

Emily, I don't think you can bring it into China because the related regulation just allows passengers to bring a cat or a dog into mainland China.

What would they do to her if I brought her though? Send her back? I read a post that a girl took one on a flight to the same airport I am going to. It was a while back though so I didn't know if you knew of any recent travel regulations.

Well, you may tell the airport name and then I may find the contact information of that airport. Then you may confirm this with the airport inspection team directly.

Hi, Emily,

I saw your post. I am in a similar situation. So, what happened to your hedgehog? Were you able to take it to China?

Thanks,
Tony

I have no idea about the source. But it is true that only cats and dags can be taken to China. Other pets are forbidden.
