About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Residents in Japan, French Citizen, Do i need to go through an agency to get my visa? Thank you

Or can I deal with it by myself with below :
filled application form, the original and photocopy of your passport, a color passport photo taken within six months, the original and photocopy of your residence card in Japan, and roundtrip tickets and hotel bookings.

I don't think you need to apply for it through an agency. You can deal with it by yourself. Just go to the consulate or embassy in Japan and submit the application.
