Can I bring Slim Fast and protein powder

I will be in China for a week and I was hoping to bring some Slim Fast shakes and protein powder to make a morning protein shake each day. Would this be permitted to bring into the country? If not, would breakfast bars or protein bars?

Yes, you can take them into China, but the customs would check that the amount should be only for self use. Also they should be well packed.
