About:China City Guide

Hello to Chinese Friend

I am from Pakistan and I have got admission in Dalian University Of Technology .Now i am planing to go to my University by Train from entry of Pakistani border. I don't want to travel by air.So please let me know that where i can find the nearest train station and get ticket.Please guide me thanks.

Well, the nearest train station in China should be in Kashgar. But as I know, there is no cross border train from your country to the city. So you may need to take train or other vehicles to the Pakistan – China Border. After arrival, walk through the border and then take bus to Kashgar Station. Then your train journey would be Kashgar – Urumqi South – Beijing – Dalian, 2 transfers and total of over 60 hours on the train.
BTW, the border between the two countries are closed from December 1, 2014 to April 1st, 2015.

what is the 1st class and 2nd class train ticket rate from Kashghar to Dalian.
My 2nd question is that do you confirm that the border is closed for the saying period.

I got the close information from news report. You may further check on your side.
Also, there is no direct train from Kashgar to Dalian, you need to make transfers in Urumqi and Beijing and most trains are regular trains charged by soft sleeper, hard sleeper, soft seat, and hard seat. For ticket fare and schedule, you can check it on the train page in this website.
