About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Paris-Xian-Delhi via Shanghai. Which visa should I apply?

Hi all
We are flying direct from Paris to Xi'an leaving within 72hrs but as no direct flights to Delhi,we are flying China Southern to Shanghai with a 4hr stopover before using Air India to fly onto Delhi. We will not be leaving the airport in Shanghai Pudong International due to time constriction but as we are travelling indirectly, do I understand we will not qualify for the free transit.Any information would be most appreciated.

Jenni, you are right. In your situation, you'd better apply for a G type in advance before you fly to Xian.
