About:Requirements for Permanent Residence Permit

Foreign Expert with Working permit need to switch to permanent permit ?

I was Head of Sciences and technology department in one EU Embassy for 2 Years, 2 Year Foreign Expert in China in sciences & techbology. i am Also Professor Level at EU Universty .I did many contribution in sciences among very good univerties in research center in China. Almost 5 year now in China and wondering if my case is valid for permanent residence. Actually I have working visa till 2016 with Foreign Expert certificate.
As It will save my time and energy and focus on real work and future perspective. I am also with Chinese gf with perspective to get married but i dont want that to be the only solution.

Only if you has made outstanding contribution to China or are a specialist needed by the country, it is possible for you to get the permanent residence permit by providing a recommendation letter or other certificates from a Chinese government department. However, I think the term "oustanding" is hard to define, so it cannot be guranteed that you will surely get it.

As your girlfriend is a Chinese citizen and you have lived in China for five years, it will be easier for you to get the permanent resident permit by getting married with her.
