About Dalian, you can visit this city in July and August. During that period of time, the temperature is 20 C to 30 C. The weather is warm and comfortable for you. T-shirts and jeans are enough for you to prepare.About SY, you can go to there from April to October. The weather would be fine for you to tour around then.

Oh, you can also visit these two cities in winter, from late Dec. to next Feb. Although it may be cold, it is worth a lot. The rime scenery in Dalian & Ice and Snow Festival in SY is well-known among local people and tourists. In China, the beauty of these kind of north cities are fully exposed in winter. To kwwp wamr, you can bring your thick overcoats and thick pants.  :-)
