About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

can we come to the embassy apply for our visa and take our pictures?

My husband and I are planning a trip to China in April for our 50th wedding annianvary.

Yes, you can come to the embassy or consulate which has juristiction over your residence and submit the application. An application form affixed with your recently taken passport style photo is required for submission. Though some embassies offer photo taking service, I suggest you prepare the photo in advance to save your time at the embassy.
