About:Chinese Embassy in Nigeria

I wan to know how much a student going to china to study must have in it bank statement

I applyed for schooling in china and I was required to pay 100 thousand naira into the school account before my addmission letter is been sent to me is it true I have to send or the are scam pls enliten me

1. The bank statement requirement depend on the duration of your you stay in China for study. If you stay for less than 180 days and apply for an X2 type, you need to present the original of the gurantee letter from your sponsor and his/her bank statement in the latest six months, the balance shall not be less than 4 million naira. If you stay for more than 180 days and apply for an X1 type, the balance shall not be less than 6 million naira.

2. In fact, there are some schools requiring oversea students to prepay tuition before they send the admission letter. You should find out more details and try to check whether it is a scam.
