How can I get a new passport? I lost my passport recently

Hi I'm Ethiopian learning in sgentang north part of China I recently lost my passport in a taxi and was wondering how my embassy will help me? Is there some procedures I need to follow ?

Hi Ammi!

Firstly, you should immediately go to the nearest police station for reporting the loss of passport. Continue to visit the local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau for a lost report about your X type.

Then, you should go to Ethiopian embassy in Beijing. The officers will help you to register the procedure of losing passport. After this step, you will be asked to apply a passport reissued.

Finally, when you receive your new passport, you need to go to the he local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau for your new X type.
