What is the best way to go Pingyao from TaiYuan? How many day for sightseeing in Pingyao?

Hey, you can either to go by bus or by train.
If by bus, you can take bus from Jiannan Bus Station. It takes 1.5 hours to reach with an interval of 20 minutes.
You can also take high speed train from the South Railway Station to Pingyao. 14 trains are available from 07:32 to 19:50. It takes 40 minutes to reach. The ticket price is CNY34.5 for first class seat and CNY28.5 for second class seat.

Two days are worthy in Pingyang. The ancient town, Qiao's Compound and Wang's Compund are recommended.

But Pingyao is around 22mi from Wang's Compound and 26mi from Qiao's Compound. And the two sites are in different directions.

Anyway, for the accommodation, excecpt the cultural ones in Pingyao Ancient City, I know a Wan Ke Ju Hotel, around 109yd in the east of Pingyao Railway Station. Its service and facilities are good. Also it would be convenient to stay near Pingyao and you can take a taxi or charter a van to the two compounds.
