Doug, what did you mean "bring your wife to USA"? Did you mean immigration? If you get married in China, then you need to help your wife acquire K3/CR1. If you plan to get married in the states, you should help her get K1. According to what I read on the internet, neither K1 nor CR1 is easy to get. However, some people said that CR1 was faster than K1. So it depends on your own.

Marry in China. Its easier.

Step 1) get marriagebility affidavit for each of you. Go to Shanghai US embassy " Notary" to complete this step. even though i was divorced, i was able to complete this step in 40 minutes. I needed no documentation or proof of previous divorce documentation.
Step 2) go to the marriage registration office in your chinese province

Step 3) get all of your documents translated to chinese, and pictures taken the same day at the same marriage registration office! No 82 taiping rd nanjing, china was the marriage office address we visited.

Thats all! I completed the entire marriage process well under an hour. Im American. My wife is not Chinese.

There is no real advantage to the CR1 (or now-discontinued K3) over the K1 unless you have already been married for 2 years. So unless you want to wait until 2 years after you are married to bring her to the US, you may as well just do the K1. The processing time is about the same either way.
