Hi, Julie. The necessary documents for her are as follows: her valid passport and a photocopy of the data page and phtoto page if it is seperate; an application form with a recent-taken color photo affixed on it; the original and photocopy of her resident permit or employment permit in Malaysia; air tickets bokking record and hotel reservations or a letter of proof from travel agencies.

It often takes four days for the processing in CVASC branches in KL or Kuching.

Julie, she should apply for the same type like you. I think L type is needed. Her passport, completed application form, a recent six months' passport size photo, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking in mainland China are required. And she has to provide her legal status in Malaysia if she applies there. Her valid visa for Malaysia should be ok. Besides, you both should submit your applications to the CVASC branch in Malaysia.
