huangshan overnightplane next day

Question

I am going to there in January and staying on top of the mountain for a night. The next day my plane will be flying from Tunxi airport at 10pm. Will it be very rushed? Is there enough time to walk down rather than take the cable car? How frequent are the shuttle buses from the mountain to Tangkou bus station. Also what are the suggestions for getting from Tangkou to Tunxi airport? Are there a lot of taxis around? Do you know roughly how much it will cost?

Hey, 2-3 hours are enough to walk down the mountain. So you can choose to walk down or take cable car. After getting down the mountain, you can directly walk from the exit to Tangkou Bus Station (Xinguoxian). There you can take a bus to Tunxi and then transfer to shuttle bus to the airport. Or it would be more convenient to directly take a taxi/car from Tangkou to the airport at the cost of CNY200-250. Around Tangkou, more private cars are available than official taxis. You can negotiate the price with the driver before heopping on the car.
