About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi we plan on flying to Chengdu from the uk then onto Yangon in Myanmar.

We would arrive in Chengdu and depart within 72 hours. Our flight would connect via Kunming and onto Yangon there are no direct flights. Can we still use 72 hour waiver if stopping for a connecting flight or would this be classed as a stop in another city.

Sorry, you are not eligible for 72 hours free transit because your flight stops in two Chinese cities. In your situation, I think a transit G type is needed.

Hi thanks for the reply. The flight is connecting through Kunming and the Chinese embassy thought this would be fine.
