Getting the New Ten-Year Visas at Chinese Embassies/Consulates outside of the USA

Is it possible for Americans to get the new ten-year Chinese ones at Chinese embassies/consulates outside of the United States? For example, I live in Bangkok, Thailand, and I'd like to get the ten-year one at the Chinese embassy here, seeing as I won't be in America anytime soon. I travel to China rather frequently (about once a year), so getting this new ten-year valid one would be a huge relief.

It is not assured about that. Based on the information, only the Chinese embassy in USA has the right to issue the ten-year one. You are suggested to consult the Chinese embassy in Thailand for consulting.
