About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Hi.. I am from the Philippines and went to Macau to have a vacation and plans to go to Hongkong.

The Immigration in Macau already grant me a 20-day extension, which will end on January 4. How long will Hongkong allow me to stay if I will go there before my extension expires in Macau? My Auntie actually, wants me to stay there for 2 months since her daughter who actually takes care of her will go to another country. Is it possible to ask for an extension to Hongkong? What should I do in order to have my request be granted? What are the documents needed? I hope you can help me on this. Thank you.

To be on the safe side, you are suggested to apply for an entry permit in advance.

Download an application form (ID 1003A) on the website of HK Immigration Department, affix your recent photo on the form. Prepare the photographies of your passport, financial standing proof, transportation arrangement proof, proof of your relationship with your aunt and your aunt's invitation letter. You aunt should prepare the form ID 1003B and complete it. In addition, if she is a HK permanent resident, she should present the photogrphy of her HK ID card. If not, her passport photography is needed.

Then mail the materials to the HK Immigration Department for applying.
