drinking water in Beijing and temperatures

I have been warned to even brush my teeth with bottled water. Also not to eat any salad which may have been washed in water and definitely do not put ice in my drinks. Also is it safe to drink coffee in a café or from a street stall. I am going in May, but come from Australia, so will I find the temperatures cool.

It will become hot and hot gradually in May, so you will feel cool. Only T-shirts and some short sleeved clothes are enough for your trip in May.

The situation is not so bad as you were warned. It is clean and safe to drink coffee in a cafe or from a street stall. Many Chinese people do it. If you are afraid, you can buy coffee from Star Buck and there are many Star Bucks in China along the street.
