About:China Customs Declaration

Do I need to pay tax on these iphones? How much?

I have six friends who want me to purchase an phone for them in America.

Amanda, if you bring six iphones into China, you need to pay the tax for five of them because you are allowed to bring one without paying tax. The tax rate is 10 percent for each, probably around CNY 500 for each.
