Business visa application for Malaysian

Hi, I'm holding malaysia passport. What requirements I need to fulfil in order to get a M type?
How long the validity and how long can I stay? I asked a travel agency who said there is a two years validity and can stay up to 180 days. But I need to have entered china twice before the application. But they didn't tell me the requirement of invitation letter as they said Malaysian are not required. Can anyone clear this for me

Vicky, the invitation letter from your Chinese business partner, duly authorized Chinese unit or individual Chinese is required for the M type. The validity and duration of stay is decided by the consular officer. So it's difficult what kind of M type you will acquire.

According to my knowledge, there are single-entry, 3 months double-entry, six months and 12 months multiple entries. So you can apply for a one year multiple entries M type. However, it is difficult to acquire if you haven't had previous entry records to China.
