Philippine citizen and transit VISA in China

Hello,

I'll fly with my family from Amsterdam to Manilla via Beijing and back. On the travel back to Amsterdam, we'll have a 21 h stay (over night) in Beijing airport. My daughter and I both have the German citizenship, so we'll be able to enjoy the 72h free transit. My wife is from the Philippines, so she will not enjoy that 72 transit policy. She will fall under the 24h tranist policy but she will not be allowed to leave the airport according to an answer I got from the Chinese Embassy here. But we all would like to stay the night in a hotel outside the airport. Is there any possible that my wife will be allowed to leave the airport/transit area together with me and my daughter?
I have read about a so-called stopover-stamp that can be granted by immigration in Beijing airport. Does anybody have information about this?
Thanks in advancve!
Lutz

Lutz, then your wife should apply for a transit G type in advance before she goes to Beijing. With the G type in hands, she can exit the airport and stay with you in a hotel.
