About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Permit for Internships

i got internship in China and the company send me the invitation letter to apply for 6 months F type, i went to embassy here and they told me that they are not issuing such thing as a visa for internships. What to do, i'm really desperate.

According to the latest information, F type is not OK for joining an internship, so the embassy may not give you so. If you want to go for the internship, usually a Work Z is required. So you still need to ask that company to help you to get a Work Permit for applying the Work Z.

Or you can try to ask that company to issue you another invitation letter, not mentioning the internship issue. They can change the visiting purpose to exchange or study tours. Then the embassy may issue you a F.

Thank you very much Len, in the embassy they told me i can apply with other porpoise, but only for one month. do you know if it is possible to extend it once in China.

If it is a single entry one, you can extend it in China if it is not so long. But it should be reminded that you can only extend once in China.
