About:China Customs Declaration

I'm travelling to China with Christmas presents to a friend. The value is around 3200CNY is tax req?

Emma, it depends on what you bring as gift. If you bring a brand new Ipad, you will be required to pay the tax. However, if you drop the box and just take the ipad itself, it won't be a problem. You can just tell the customs that it's for personal use.
